Today’s blog post is a hotel review of Vits Excellensea in Karde.

Many of you might be wondering what and where is Karde.

Karde is a small coastal village in Maharashtra, 12 km from Dapoli.

For all the curious minds, I have uploaded a comprehensive Karde Beach travel guide.

I have frequented Karde Beach over the years. Earlier, there were only a couple of hotels in the area. Now, new establishments have emerged. Vits Excellensea is one of them.

Over the years, I stayed at another hotel. This time was no different, but rooms were unavailable. That’s how I ended up at Vits Excellensea.

LOCATION

I wouldn’t start a hotel review with the location. But, in this instance, it is an important part.

One of the reasons I loved Vits Excellensea was its location. The hotel is across the road from Karde Beach.

The beach is less than 60 seconds from the hotel. You can hear the sea day and night from your hotel room.

ROOMS

The rooms are spacious, along with a clean and moderate-sized ensuite bathroom.

The rooms are big enough to accommodate three people. Even after setting up the extra bed, there is space to move around. I shared my room with my siblings. So, it was great to have space to move around the extra bed, especially when everyone was rushing to get ready.

Each room has a TV, AC, mini fridge, Wifi, balcony, kettle and supplies to make tea or coffee. The bathrooms have toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion) and running hot water 24/7.

The balcony was my favourite part of the room. All balconies face the beach. It is the perfect place to watch the sunset or enjoy a peaceful morning.

STAFF AND SERVICE

Usually, when I’m travelling, I seldom interact with the hotel staff (except at the reception). That’s because I’m at the hotel only for sleeping. Most of the time, I’m out and about.

During my recent trip to Karde Beach, I had numerous interactions with the Vits Excellensea hotel staff.

The Vits Excellensea hotel staff was well-trained and active. If you ask them for assistance or request something, they will fetch it for you instantly.

Here are a few instances: It was around 7:30 a.m. My grandmother was out of coffee and sugar. The staff was back with the supplies and even brought extra.

One time the TV wasn’t working. They stayed there until it was working once again. Many hotels will fiddle around for a few minutes and inform us that the TV doesn’t work. But not at Vits Excellensea.

Another time, my siblings and I were enjoying the pool. The staff brought towels without us asking for them.

It showcases the staff’s attentiveness.

AMENITIES

Vits Excellensea has a swimming pool, an in-house restaurant, parking space, and laundry service.

The swimming pool is large and 5 feet deep all around. There is also a baby-sized shallow pool. When I arrived, the pool was closed for cleaning, but they opened it the next day. The pool was relatively clean.

Vits Excellensea has an in-house restaurant, Wah Malvan. I dined here only at breakfast. The food was tasty and hygienic. Breakfast included an Indian spread. Once, they served Puri bhaji and misal pav. I loved the misal pav.

They have a parking space, but it is outside the hotel. Don’t worry, it is safe. Don’t leave any valuables in the vehicle. The parking space gets occupied quickly, so park your cars on the side of the road.

Here’s a summary of the Vits Excellensea hotel review. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are clean, and the balconies are tiny but offer sprawling views of Karde Beach. Vits Excellensea hotel staff is well-trained and active. They have a swimming pool, in-house restaurant and parking facilities.

I will give Vits Excellensea 3½⭐⭐⭐. The best part of the hotel is the location. It is across the road from the beach.

If travelling to Karde Beach on the weekend or during a holiday or festival, make reservations in advance. There are few hotels in the area, and finding a vacancy during this time is difficult. Also, prices are double.
