SALT AND PEPPER FAMILY RESTAURANT, LEH – REVIEW
Salt and Pepper Family restaurant is another good place to dine in Leh. It was the first place I visited during my stay in Leh. It was around 3:30 pm, and we were looking for a place to have a late lunch. On the way to Leh market, we saw that the restaurant was open. That’s how I came to be here.
The “I ❤️ Ladakh” sign outside that caught my attention. And the restaurant looked good, so we stopped here for lunch.
ABOUT SALT AND PEPPER FAMILY RESTAURANT
Salt and Pepper is a small but well-decorated restaurant. The interior is trendy and simple.
Lamps hang from the black ceiling, and grass mats cover the floor. And the blue chairs add a pop of colour to the place. It gives off a casual vibe. If you are looking for a place to hang out with friends and family, Salt and Pepper restaurant is the one.
And the best part is that they have free wifi for patrons.
The restaurant is open daily from 11 am to 11 pm.
The restaurant is on Old Leh road, opposite Dragon Supermart. You can walk or drive here. Walking is a better option because they don’t have parking facilities. You will have to park your vehicles on the curbside.
THE FOOD
Salt and Pepper serves burgers, pasta, snacks, and vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. And they also have homemade cakes.
I tried their chicken hot and sour soup, chicken dum biryani, dal, rotis and chicken curry. I liked the biryani. It was delicious and flavourful. Also, their homemade cakes are a must-have. You can find them displayed in a case by the counter.
Also, the prices are reasonable. It’s a good place for families and groups of friends.
THE SERVICE AT SALT AND PEPPER
The staff is playful and friendly. Service takes 20-25 minutes like any other restaurant. We were visiting late, but they never once said items were unavailable. I will give them four stars for hospitality.
